４．Qualifications

1. Doctoral or Master's degree holder, preferably with university teaching experience.
2. Preferably holds teaching license for junior high school (Health and Physical Education) and high school (Health and Physical Education).
3. Excellent research achievements and outstanding character, insight, and cooperative attitude.
4. No nationality requirements, but must possess sufficient Japanese language ability to conduct lectures and administrative duties.
5. Must be able to reside in Sasebo City or its vicinity after appointment.

Additional Notes

1. Appointment starts April 1, 2025. Employment terms: 3-year fixed term contract, renewable with possibility of promotion. Includes 1-year probationary period.
2. First screening will be document-based, and results will be notified by Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
   Second screening (scheduled between January 29 and February 6) will require a campus visit for an interview and mock lecture (15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A). Travel expenses must be covered by the applicant. However, depending on the COVID-19 situation, the interview and mock lecture (research presentation) may be conducted remotely via Zoom.
3. In principle, application documents will not be returned. However, upon request, item (3) of the submission documents (major achievements - books, academic papers, etc.) can be returned if a "cash-on-delivery Yu-Pack label" or "Letter Pack" is enclosed.
