2 Description
In addition to teaching the following courses, successful candidates will assist with duties related to the department.
(1)Duties:Education, research, community engagement, and university administrative responsibilities.
(2)Courses:Candidates will teach from among the following courses:
Courses | Designated subjects required for national certification as a certified care worker, such as Introduction to Medicine, Fundamentals of Care Work, Understanding Dementia, and Medical Care in Nursing (including practicum-related subjects). Additional responsibilities include supervising Specialized Seminars (seminar courses) and Graduation Thesis. |

3.Requirements
- Possess a doctoral or master’s degree or have equivalent research achievements.
- Have outstanding research accomplishments and be able to passionately engage in social welfare education and student guidance.
- Demonstrate excellent character, insight, and teamwork skills.
- Have more than five years of practical experience after obtaining qualifications as a medical doctor, public health nurse, midwife, or nurse, and have completed the "Care Worker Instructor Training Course" required for care worker instructors. Additionally, completion of the "Medical Care Instructor Training Course" is preferred.
- Nationality is not restricted, but applicants must have Japanese language proficiency sufficient to conduct lectures and carry out duties without difficulty.
- Must be able to reside in Sasebo City or its surrounding areas after appointment.

4.Period of employment
Beginning April 1, 2026 (3-year contract including 1-year trial period, following which possible renewal and/or promotion)

7.Selection process
First Screening: Document review
Second Screening: Candidates who pass the first screening will be invited to Nagasaki International University for the second screening.
The second screening will involve a mock lecture (approximately 15 minutes), followed by a Q&A session (about 5 minutes), during which candidates will be asked to present their aspirations for education, their research in their field of expertise, and an overview of the research they plan to pursue at the university.
All travel and related expenses for the second screening must be covered by the applicant. The second screening is scheduled to take place by mid-September 2025.
Please note that depending on the spread of infectious diseases, the interview and mock lecture (presentation of research overview) may be conducted remotely via Zoom.

9.Notification of Results
Results of the first screening will be communicated by around Monday, August 18, 2025.
Results of the second screening are scheduled to be announced by Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
